iQFoil - The Olympics 2024 and beyond...

- Starboard are extremely proud and excited to share with all of you the news that the Starboard iQFoil has been selected as the 2024 Olympic Equipment, replacing the RS:X equipment after the 2020 Olympic Games. The iQFoil concept is the fruit of many years of windsurf foiling equipment development, but developing the equipment to running a successful Olympic Campaign are two very different stories.  The story of their iQFoil proposal has, above all, been one of great teamwork with a common goal of making the future of windsurfing more exciting and sustainable for the generations to come. -

THE BOARD: 

iQFoil 95 Carbon Reflex - Men and Women Our most high-performance 100% foil racing board that is capable of upwind/downwind racing on a fin if the conditions get really tough. 95cm wide for convenient air travel, designed to take off smoothly from 6knots. Powerful in light winds, controllable in strong winds; convertible to fin mode. iQFoil 85 Starlite - Youth The Youth version is based on and uses the same shape as the iFoil95 Carbon Reflex model, but with extra durability and a more affordable price point from the construction. Severne Hyperglide Olympic 8.0 - Men and Youth Men

Designed to feel light in the hands, responsive and with an expanded wind range, the Olympic edition of the HyperGlide works with foil and fin.

THE MAST: 

 

Severne Apex 530 - Men

The APEX mast has an added fibreglass outer layer which makes it less susceptible to impact damage.
The Apex taper has smaller diameter mid-sections with increased wall thickness for increased reliability.

90% Carbon mast for extra durability. 

This mast size 530 is to be made for iQFoil package. 

  

Severne Apex 490 - Women and Youth

Severne Enigma 190-240 - Men and Women

100% Pre-preg Carbon, 30mm diameter with oversized front end and tail piece.

The custom carbon manufacture produces the best stiffness:weight ratio; each boom is built individually with emphasis on technology, not mass production. The ultimate combination of lightweight, stiffness, ergonomics and geometry.

   

Severne Aluminium Race - Youth

 

T8 aluminium monocoque construction with 29mm diameter and an oversized tail piece.

The stiffest aluminium race boom, and at an affordable price. This breakthrough race boom design has been achieved through optimization of wall thickness and a larger boom diameter towards the back.

 

 

THE EXTENSION:

SDM Extension 36  - Men, Women and Youth

Solid Aluminium tubes combined with triple pulleys for friction free high tension downhauling. Dyneema rope. 

 

 

THE BASE:

Severne Mast Base - Men, Women and Youth

Ergonomically shaped for easy tightening and un-tightening with a low profile, reducing the gap between the board and sail.
