How to pick the right size Dryrobe...
Dryrobes are the next best thing since sliced bread; a comfortable, long, waterproof and windproof coat that is ideal for water sport enthusiasts, athletes and general everyday life usage.
They are great quality and have become so popular as they do exactly what they say on the label, they perform excellently whether you want to use it as a long coat for dog walks, watch sport events outside, or to stay warm after a cold surfing session in the water!
One aspect that is so great and unique to the Dryrobe Advance robe is that they are have a super oversized shape as they were designed for getting changed in! This means that they size slightly differently to normal coats, and that most people can size down a lot more than they think as they are sized more on length rather than waist size!
We find in-store and online that many people choose the wrong size dryrobe initially as they assume it would size like a normal coat, however as people try them on they feel drowned! For those looking to wear for getting changed in, you would want to go for the best size based on length on the arms and space inside, however as more of us are using them as warm, waterproof coats, if you are between sizes you may be able to size down as you don’t need that extra space inside!
Dryrobe Size Breakdown:
Dryrobe are not gender specific and are neutral sizes. They have two categories, short sleeve and long sleeve and we recommend that you go for long sleeve (unless kid 5-9 in which they are only short sleeve and this normally fills the kids arms anyway!).
The sizing breaks down into 2 sizes for kids, 5-9 and 10-13. In the 10-13 size, this can also be seen as ‘adult xsmall’ as it is suitable for those shorter in height and size. Then in ‘adults’ there is small, medium, large and xlarge. Again, dryrobes are categorized into kids and adults but it is dependent on height etc so not always easy to fit into these boxes. ** Biggest advice is that XL is not for those that normally wear XL, it is SUPER big so for those super tall!**

The robes themselves are still to have a ‘large’ feel even if you size down to wear as a coat, so just bear this in mind as the shape and sleeves itself are enlarged for that ability to change inside.
